Cruising

Welcome to our ‘cruising’ program for 2012.
This season we have planned some exciting overnight flotillas, a Sunday family picnic and some evening supper cruises!  

Have we got a challenge for new Skippers!
Again, for the 2011 season we have set ourselves a goal – to help as many members as possible gain experience as a flotilla ‘Skipper’ or ‘Lead Skipper’ for the first time. The skills needed for a flotilla are learnt whilst studying for the CYA Intermediate and Coastal Navigation certifications and so practicing these skills on a longer sail will really enhance them and be a great rehearsal for the skills you’ll require if you intend to bareboat charter.  Great news for the more experienced skippers! If you are lucky you’ll be able to take a leisurely back seat – just make sure you are around for advice if needed!
