Welcome to the Humber Sailing Club!

We look forward to sailing with you and helping you meet your sailing goals whether that is: preparing to buy your own boat someday; getting involved in racing; socializing with a great group of people; improving your sailing skills; or just having fun sailing. The Executive Committee and the whole membership welcome you!

Ok, you’ve joined; now what?

First, the administrative stuff.

  • Read the Club Handbook. This contains official policies and procedures of the Club. It contains lots of great information that will help you get the most out of your membership. You can also refer to the Club Handbook on this website under Humber Sailing Club Login.
  • Look over the Club Calendar on this website. You can see all the activities that are available to you and can start scheduling the ones you are really interested in.
  • Find your way around using this HSC site orientation guide!
  • Contact one of our Club Executive for advice, direction, or just to get some of your questions answered. They are ready, willing and able to help!

Club Hours

Requiring members to put in their club hours helps the club to keep costs down.Club hours are also a great way to build boat maintenance skills and to meet other club members. Remember that you are required to do 12 hours of volunteer club work during a season! So check out the various committees described on this website, talk to other members and club staff and decide where you want to put in your hours. Remember that for each hour you have not met your obligation, $20 will be deducted from your deposit.

Go Sailing!

To go sailing, just do one of the following:
  • Call a friend who is a Skipper and arrange to go sailing.
  • Sign up for sailing on this website (you have to log in).
    • Choose the boat and time when you want to sail on and enter your name.
    • Or sign up as crew under "Just Sailing".
    • If there is no skipper yet signed up on the boat, check that there is a Duty Skipper signed up under Skipper in "Just Sailing. 
  • You can also call the office if you don’t have immediate access to the Internet at 416-252-7291.


Interested in Racing?

Show up for Friday Night Racing (no sign up required). Note that on racing nights the boats leave the docks at 6:00 sharp so don’t be late!
